Alabama Career Center will hold a job Search Workshop on Wednesday, 26 Jan. BeginTime nine persons interested in finding a job and earning valuable career advice are encouraged to participate.
The workshop, which emphasises the interview skills, Resume writing and dressing for success, is free of charge.
-We do this every month, and each one is different, "said Clifford Roberts, Coordinator of the workforce investment Act. "This will be of benefit to the public."
Vivian Thompson, Selma Careerlink facilitator, said workshops last approximately one hour and have been successful in times past.
"This workshop will focus on what to do and not do when looking for a job, and where to find jobs," said black. "We will also focus on how to dress appropriately and how to act during an interview."
Black said concerned citizen may preregister for the workshop and also for registration if preferred, people can still get out and register. Last day for registration is 17.00 on Tuesday.
"The door prizes will be given to the first signing day of the workshop and the first to be preregistered for the workshop," said black.
Black said Career Center's goal is to help people find jobs.
"We are trying to help people with the process for the job," said black. "If we can help people get what they need to land them in the job, then we've done our job."
